Samuel exited last week's game against the Kansas City Chiefs after three snaps due to an illness. Samuel was later hospitalized due to pneumonia but was able to return to practice later in the week.
With Samuel's status questionable on Sunday night, the 49ers will need to lean on rookies Ricky Pearsall and Jacob Cowing along with veteran Chris Conley. George Kittle will likely continue to help lead the 49ers passing attack with Samuel sidelined.
