The San Francisco 49ers have made their cuts and they have their initial 53-man roster for the 2024 season.
This is subject to change, and it likely will between cuts and their Week 1 opener vs. the New York Jets on Sept. 9.
Here's a quick rundown of the roster by position and in alphabetical order, with rookies in bold.

Facing one of the weaker rushing defenses in the NFL, San Francisco instead utilized McCaffrey in a different phase, and climbed back above .500 in a Super-Bowl-or-bust season.
The Dodgers have been interested in Adames and even with Mookie Betts moving back to the infield, Adames would make sense in L.A. Other teams that could make a run at him include the Giants and Braves.
C.J. Gardner-Johnson made it clear the NFC East runs through Philly, which looks like the case this season even if it hasn't always been the case in the recent past.
The tone is certainly different as this hot stove season commences considering L.A.'s campaign ended on the ultimate high note, but that’s not to say the Dodgers won’t be busy.
The Giants didn't want to pay Barkley, so their division rivals were happy to swoop in to add the playmaking running back. On Thursday, he made all the difference in a win over the Commanders.
