In a thrilling game that came down overtime, the New York Liberty won their first WNBA championship in franchise history with a 67-62 Game 5 win over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday night in Brooklyn. They won the best-of-five series, 3-2.
The Liberty's Game 5 win was an incredible moment to witness, especially because New York previously made it to the WNBA Finals five times but never won.
