Roster and lineup management in Yahoo Fantasy

Your roster is your entire team of acquired players, while your lineup refers to the players that are used in active roster positions. Managing your roster and lineup is important for having the best season possible.

Edit your lineup

Active players earn fantasy points for your team, while players on the bench or other inactive roster slots won't contribute to your point total.

  1. From Yahoo Fantasy, mouse over Fantasy | select a sport.
  2. Under "My Teams and Leagues," click the fantasy team you want to edit.
  3. Mouse over My Team | select Roster.
  4. Go down and select Swap Mode.
  5. Click the position of the player you want to replace.
  6. Click a highlighted position.
  7. Repeat this process until you're happy with your lineup.
If your league is configured to allow daily changes to your lineup, you can change the positions of your players between "Active" and "Bench" up until the scheduled start time of their respective games.

Reasons for unsuccessful lineup changes

If you attempted a change but it isn't reflected in your lineup, please consider the following:

  • With classic roster mode, click the Submit Changes for your lineup changes to be official.
  • You may have experienced a temporary issue related to your browser, or a network-related issue.
  • If you've set your lineup in advance for future dates, these changes will be reset if you add a player.
