Toddler breastfeeding her doll called out as ‘nastiest sh--’ on Facebook

When it comes to breastfeeding, there are a lot of opinions out there. Some think it’s something that should be done in private, while others celebrate the women who proudly feed their children wherever and whenever. But when one Facebook commenter saw a toddler mimicking the act at store, she was beyond disgusted.
“I just saw some of the nastiest s*** of my life!!“ the commenter writes. "If you’re okay with your daughter lifting up her shirt and putting her baby dolls mouth to her little ‘dots’ pretending to breastfeed then I personally think you need punched in the d*** face!!! It’s just simply not okay!!! Arguments welcome. I’m willing to shut y'all down today.”

The comment was in reference to an image a mother of two posted of her daughter, Charlotte. While shopping, she looked over and noticed that the two-year-old had lifted her shirt and was "feeding" her doll in the same way she had seen her mother feed her younger sibling many times. The mom thought it was an adorable moment and wanted to share it with her Facebook followers.
“You know you’re a breastfeeding mother when you look over in the middle of the store to your toddler saying, 'Baby cry, baby just wants to eat’…” she captioned the offending photos.
Shocked by the response, she shared the incident with Facebook group, Breastfeeding Mama Talk.
“I am absolutely blown away,” she writes. “I posted this picture of my daughter and woke up to messages asking if this was about me.”
“Breastfeeding is something that is natural and IS normal. A baby putting a bottle to its dolls mouth, they are feeding their baby doll, correct? There’s no difference. I do not feel the need to correct Charlotte because breastfeeding is wrong? She said her baby wanted to eat, so she fed her.”

She goes on to say that children mimicking things they see their parents do is perfectly normal.
“Charlotte also pretends to do her makeup, my son pretends to work on his vehicles and fix things from watching his father. Isn’t that how it is? Your child mimicking NORMAL daily behavior?”
Since sharing the post, commenters have flooded in to share their own stories and offer support.
