I’ll admit that I’ve bought my fair share of sunglasses that inevitably end up scratched, broken or lost somewhere along the way. And although I’ve invested in pricier designer shades in the past, I always end up keeping them stashed away in a safe spot instead of actually wearing them. Rather than shelling out for the latest designs, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’d rather stick with cheap and cheerful sunnies and invest my money in accessories that I know I’ll get more use out of.
Recently, I discovered one of Amazon’s bestselling sunglasses and was shocked to find that they fulfilled both my style and budget requirements. Ringing in at only $20, the SOJOS Small Square Polarized Sunglasses are a perfect dupe for Ray-Ban’s $228 Hexagonal Flat Sunglasses - the very same style that was spotted on Shay Mitchell earlier this summer.
What are they?
The SOJOS sunglasses feature an updated take on the wire-rimmed design that’s universally flattering on both men and women, and comes in a range of colours to choose from. Made with a metal frame your choice of coloured lenses, these sunglasses come with a carrying pouch and a cleaning cloth to keep them looking their best when you’re on the go.
The hexagonal style has polarized lenses to protect from harmful UV rays and reduce glare reflected off of roads or water.

What shoppers are saying
With a 4.3 star rating on nearly 2,600 reviews, shoppers are loving the design and price on this pair of cool sunglasses, earning it the top spot on Amazon’s list of best-sellers.
“They look high quality on and I’ve gotten many compliments on them,” shared one reviewer. “Definitely recommend it you’re wanting to try a new style of sunglasses or if you’re constantly breaking pairs like me. I bought these because they are similar to a style of Ray-Bans and I love them!”
“I was doubtful at first about the frame shape but i gave it a try and they look so cool. Perfect size for the eyes,” added another. “These are my second glasses from the same company and they haven’t let me down till now.”
Some reviewers were less than impressed with the weight of these sunglasses, since they were designed to be incredibly light, however, it’s a great feature if you’re not a fan of bulky shades.
“From the photos and description, I thought I would love them,” admitted one reviewer. “First thing I noticed is how incredibly thin they are. Secondly, I know they advertise them as small, but they are small. Sadly, I believe I will have to return them.”
The verdict
If you’re worried about paying for expensive sunglasses, only to lose them or break them within a few weeks, a stylish yet affordable pair may be the better way to go. While the SOJOS Small Square Polarized Sunglasses may not be the most sturdy pair on the market, they are a great way to protect your eyes this summer.
You do get what you pay for when it comes to sunglasses, and if an inexpensive yet functional pair is what you’re after, you can’t go wrong for $20.
