Canadian TV host Sangita Patel shows off 'drive and tenacity' in new workout video
Sangita Patel is back with some fitness inspiration.
The "ET Canada" host posted an Instagram Reel for Fitness Tuesday" showing her fans a workout routine in her home gym. In the video, Patel tied her hair into a ponytail and wore activewear pieces from Project Rock, a new collection created between Under Armour and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Patel wore a grey short-sleeve hoodie, black leggings and a purple sports bra in the clip.
"Welcome to my new gym (almost complete)," Patel penned in her video's caption. "Gearing up for the beast, [The Rock]. High reps, low weights, balance, core, full body. Completely sore but I'm looking cool in my [Project Rock] gear.
"Funny story, my first time getting Project Rock attire was from Dwayne. He mentioned, 'Yo! Shipping is expensive to Canada.' Yup!"
In the comments of the post, influencers and fans shared their appreciation for Patel's strength, with many commending her for her persistence.
"Love it! Dream gym!" wrote Toronto-based fitness influencer Zehra Allibhai.
"Sangita, you are my hero! Love your drive and tenacity. You are a true class act!" one fan shared.
"A gym tour please! Wow, what a space," added another fan, along with a heart eye emoji.
"Yes! Lifting heavy and love those deep squats. Keep it up," someone chimed in.
"Oh, geez! When I grow up, I wanna be just as awesome as you!" someone else commented.
"No question, just keep spreading that awesome, positive vibe that you do and keep making dreams come true for the fans that you meet and people that you help. One amazing human being!" one person raved.
Last month during the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) red carpet, Patel shared a video for her more than 140,000 Instagram followers of herself completing a fitness challenge. In the clip, the Toronto native successfully showed off her strength and balance, after admitting she hadn't "been to the gym all week" and had recently been "eating burgers and fries."
"But, you know me, I'll find away to get a good challenge in, in heels, in a dress, on the red carpet," she wrote in that video's caption. Love how so many came up to me and referenced Fitness Tuesday. It's working, motivating others to move and groove!"
