At the end of the day, we're simple people: if we see a royal wearing a (semi) affordable brand, odds are, we're going to want it for ourselves.
The case couldn't be more true for the Buckingham Palace-approved brand Barbour. Not only have Barbour jackets been spotted on the who's-who of royals over the last 30-something years (we're talking Princess Diana, Kate Middleton, and Queen Elizabeth herself) but the British heritage brand has actually earned three Royal Warrants commending its high-quality designs.
If you're looking to snag one of these iconic jackets, Barbour is currently included in Nordstrom's Summer Sale. While it's technically an end-of-summer sale, there are tons of great buys to stock up on ahead of fall.
Between now and Sept. 12, shoppers can save up to 42 per cent on some of Barbour's most popular coats, including the Hollingworth Quilted Jacket.

The details
The British heritage brand has earned the royal seal of approval — and for good reason. With elegant diamond quilting, a corduroy-trimmed collar and a mid-thigh silhouette, the lightweight Barbour jacket is a fall staple for any wardrobe, royal or otherwise.
The fall coat features roomy patch pockets at the front with enough room for your cards, phone, and keys and is available in two colours: black and olive. However, at 40 per cent off its regular retail price of $300, sizes in the jacket are, unsurprisingly, going quickly.
It's 'well worth the money'
Keeping in company with Queen Elizabeth, the Barbour brand has earned the seal of approval from Nordstrom shoppers, with users commenting the jacket is "high quality" and "well worth the money."
"I love it! The [jacket] is lightweight, but the fill is very warm," says one reviewer. "It's super cute and flattering."
It's a coat "you can wear in the fall and spring," writes another shopper. "[Very] practical."
However, one thing to note before you head to checkout: some Nordstrom shoppers comment the Barbour jacket runs large, so it may be worth sizing down if you are in-between sizes.
"You could probably size down at least one [size] with Barbour," writes one shopper. "The larger size will allow for layering."

With cold weather just around the corner, there's no better time to take home a royal-approved Barbour jacket. A timeless style you'll wear for years to come (just ask Queen Elizabeth), Nordstrom shoppers can save 40 per cent on the elegant coat between now and Sept 12.
