Myrtle Beach seafood market and restaurant reopens after closing. Here’s what we know

After seemingly closing for good on Sept. 15, this Myrtle Beach seafood market and restaurant reopened in October.

Angela Green, an employee of Cackalacky Fish Company, 400 S. Kings Highway, posted on Facebook in September about how the business suddenly closed. But on Oct. 14, she added a comment saying it is back open.

The restaurant serves fresh, fried and steamed seafood, including flounder, blue crab and oysters, reviews and pictures of the menu showed. Customers also found southern favorites like mac and cheese, hush puppies and collard greens.

The restaurant did not return a request to comment on Oct. 15.

William Benfield opened Cackalacky’s in 2021 after previously running the Berry’s Seafood Market in North Myrtle Beach, The Sun News reported.

It was previously rated as one of the best spots to get fried fish and hush puppies in the Myrtle Beach area by The Sun News.
