Hailey Bieber's Baby Bag Is Worth Double My Rent And As Luxe As You'd Expect
They say that nothing changes your life like becoming a mum, with the impact felt across your existence — including your sartorial one. But Hailey Bieber, who with her husband, Justin Bieber, welcomed a son, Jack Blues, in August, shows no sign of it shifting her style perception. All very well and good for the privileged model and Rhode brand founder, of course.
The latest glimpse into her 'mum style' is perhaps the most anticipated yet and features the item all expectant mums 'umm' and 'ahh' over choosing: the baby bag. Some opt for specialist styles designed to hold every item in assigned pockets and pouches, while others choose the biggest bag possible to allow them to leave the house with everything but the kitchen sink. Bieber has another approach.
The 27-year-old has opted for a bag that works well for now in this early stage of first-time motherhood.
Her Goyard tote is big, really big, it can be carried hands-free over the shoulder and comes with a neat pouch for personal effects, but it also has potential for life beyond the nappy stage as it is a stealth choice for all periods of life.
The monogram style is a handbag classic and one of the key reasons why Goyard stores (they don't sell online) are always flanked by queues no matter which store across the world you head to.
Naturally, it doesn't come cheap. Goyard totes are an investment purchase and so this one carries a four-figure price tag. Consider though that it comes without infantile details and it is a bag for life to be worn forever with the argument of cost-per-wear coming in strong.
Bieber, however, has added one special detail for her special infant. Her Artemis bag from the storied house has been personalised with her son's initials, JBB, embossed at the opening.
The glimpse of the bag wasn't the only reveal Bieber posted to her brand's Instagram. The founder spilled open her bag to share 'fall's essentials', with the items revealing where she's at right now in balancing life as a beauty mogul and a new mum.
Amongst the items falling out from the Goyard were a baby bottle, sunglasses (a sleepless nights essential), a hair brush, a Saint Laurent card holder and a selection of her favourite and unreleased Rhode products. Hiding the finite details with the ever-telling white heart emoji, she shared a first covert look at three new launches. Some eager-eyed fans thought that the items in question could be an SPF, an eyeliner or perhaps even a lip liner. We'll just have to wait and wish before we can toss them in our very own Goyard totes.
