My Favorite Candy Bar in History Is Finally Becoming an Ice Cream Treat

Snickers just got some serious competition.

The candy aisle is full of endless choices, from new to nostalgic. With fresh varieties like Chocolate Lava Reese’s Cups and Grape Strawberry Blitz Nerd’s Gummy Clusters arriving almost daily, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by choices. But for me, I determined a favorite early on in life (like, eight years old), and no shiny, new treat has ever contended for the top spot.

This candy bar is a bit retro, but its chewy caramel center and pops of crispy rice give it a taste that never goes out of style. Yep, I'm talking about the 100 Grand bar. In my book, there’s no bite of candy more satisfying. So, if you’ve long forgotten about the timeless treat, I think it's time for a reintroduction.

But this time, not as an American classic candy bar, but as a brand-new ice cream bar.

Three New Candy Bar Ice Creams Are Coming to Stores

That’s right, 100 Grand is set to debut in a brand new form—an ice cream bar. But, it’s not showing up to the freezer section alone. Two other beloved candy bars, Baby Ruth and Butterfinger, are also getting the full ice cream treatment—and fans are already calling this trio of treats “some of the best looking ice cream bars [they’ve] ever seen.”

These novelty treats were designed to put everything you love about the iconic candy bars into an indulgent ice cream form. Starting with my main event, the 100 Grand Ice Cream Bar will feature creamy caramel-flavored ice cream layered with rich, smooth caramel, all wrapped in a chocolatey coating with “crispy crunchies” in every bite—yes, that’s an official term.

Next up, the Baby Ruth bar will have a chewy nougat-flavored ice cream, roasted peanuts, and caramel, all covered in a chocolatey shell. Finally, the Butterfinger bar will star Butterfinger-flavored ice cream with a crunchy Butterfinger layer and a smooth, chocolatey coating.

Fans can’t seem to agree which one they want most, battling it out in the comment section of an Instagram announcement. “Butterfinger all day,” voted one, while another said, “I got to have that Baby Ruth one.” Regardless, there’s no doubt these “superior candy bars” will have fans racing to the freezer aisle soon.

The 100 Grand, Baby Ruth, and Butterfinger ice cream bars are set to arrive in stores across the country in 2025, hopefully before ice cream season strikes. We don’t know what the suggested retail price will be just yet, but each box will contain six individually wrapped ice cream bars.
