A Fan-Favorite Frosty Is Likely Not Returning This Year

A Wendy's Frosty is a favorite among many. The frozen treat is a perfect mix of a creamy milkshake and soft-serve ice cream. Plus, it comes in a variety of flavors, like White Chocolate Strawberry and summertime newbie Triple Berry.
However, like all things, flavors come and go. This fall season is bringing some serious change to the Frosty lineup and not everyone is too happy about it.
Say Goodbye to Wendy’s Pumpkin Spice Frosty
If you’re a pumpkin spice lover, there’s a good chance you enjoyed the Pumpkin Spice Frosty in the past. Unfortunately, it looks like the fast food chain may not be offering the seasonal cool treat this year.
According to some chatter on a recent Reddit thread, the Pumpkin Spice Frosty is not likely to come back this season. When the original user asked when this Frosty would return to menus, many weighed in—including some alleged Wendy’s employees—saying we would not see it this year, if ever.
Although we can't know for sure, we have a hunch that Wendy's might be shelving Pumpkin Spice to make room for its new Krabby Patty Kollab, which includes a Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, launching on Oct. 8.
We're not the only ones who think this. According to a commenter on the same Reddit thread, we should expect to see a "Pineapple Frosty" in October, followed by "Caramel around Nov. 11 (when the Spongebob promo ends).” Others agreed with this lineup change, confirming that we can expect to see some sort of salted caramel flavor after the Spongebob promotion, followed by a winter holiday flavor, like Peppermint.
On another Reddit thread, someone else who seems to be tied to Wendy’s confirmed the news, saying “We aren't getting the PS back! We are doing a SpongeBob Collab in October and getting a pineapple frosty!” It seems as though this new switch is pretty set in stone and some pumpkin spice lovers aren’t too thrilled. One commenter replied to the news with, “I’ll let my therapist know.”
