Eggo Has a New Fast Food Collab We Didn’t See Coming

We are so here for out-of-the-box fast food collaborations. Cheez-It joining forces with both Taco Bell and Moe’s Southwest Grill wasn’t on our 2024 bingo card, but we are so glad it happened. And, sure, maybe Cinnabon took the mashups a little too far with its Warheads cinnamon rolls, but who’s to say, really?

If you thought sour candy-flavored cinnamon buns were interesting, though, wait until you hear about Eggo’s new first-of-its-kind item hitting restaurants now. No, it’s not an Eggo waffle taco or even a chicken and Eggo waffle sandwich—but it does bring the iconic chicken and waffles pairing to the table in a different way.

Eggo teamed up with Cicis Pizza for an all-new creation: the Chicken and Eggo Waffles Pizza.

Cicis Pizza Launches New Chicken and Eggo Waffles Pizza

Cicis Pizza, the chain behind the pizza buffet beloved in the early 2000s, is playing into its family-friendly nostalgia with the new offering. Kids and adults alike can’t get enough of the easy frozen waffles—and chicken and waffles will always be an elite combo. Slap those ingredients on a pizza crust and drizzle it with maple syrup, and you’ve got a new pizza that will have people talking.

Cicis’ Chicken and Eggo Waffles Pizza will be available both in-restaurant and for takeout beginning Oct. 7 for a limited time. The takeout options include a Medium for $9.99, a Large for $11.99, and a Giant for $14.99.

Bring the sweet-and-savory pizza to your next football tailgate and see just how many people choose the unique offering over the traditional pepperoni and cheese. We know we’ll be trying the new innovation this National Pizza Month.

Eggo is no stranger to quirky collaborations that bring its waffles outside of the freezer aisle. In the past few years, we’ve seen two alcoholic beverages (Eggo Nog and Eggo Brunch in a Jar Sippin’ Creams made in partnership with Sugarlands Distilling Co.), waffle-flavored coffees, and even Eggo-themed shoes from the Kellanova brand.

With so many unique, first-of-their-kind products from Eggo, we shouldn’t be surprised the brand agreed to make a chicken and waffles pizza. However, with Cicis Pizza locations limited to a few hundred restaurants nationwide, might we suggest the next chicken and Eggo waffles pizza head to the freezer section, too? Because that creation is a brunch-lovers dream.
