I Don't Leave BJ's Wholesale Store Without This Dinner Shortcut

It's a weeknight lifesaver.

I’ve been shopping at warehouse stores since my kids were babies. They’re teenagers now, and while I no longer rely on the savings these clubs provide on items like diapers and formula, any parent who’s lived with teens knows that they can eat a lot of food.

We’re members at both BJ’s Wholesale Club and Costco, and since the former is a bit closer to my house, I visit often to stock up on things like produce, deli meat, and easy-to-throw-together weeknight dinners for my family of four. And lately, there's one product I can’t leave the store without buying.

My Favorite Dinner Shortcut from BJ’s Wholesale Club

Recently, I stumbled upon a brand I hadn’t seen at my local BJ’s before, Amylu Foods, a company that makes gluten-free and nitrate- and nitrite-free poultry products like chicken burgers and chicken meatballs. I’m always excited to find easy and healthy options for my family, so I picked up a box of Amylu Spinach and Feta Chicken Burgers to add to my weekly meal rotation.

At $12 for a package of eight 4-ounce burgers, the price felt right to try a new-to-me product. The burgers are made with ground chicken, feta cheese, spinach, garlic, red pepper flakes, and other spices, all char-broiled right in. Even better, they come fully cooked so there’s no need to worry about cooking chicken to the right temperature.

Why I Love Amylu Spinach and Feta Chicken Burgers

The first time I served these delicious chicken burgers to my family, I topped them with extra feta, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh spinach, and served them on buttery brioche buns. The burgers were super easy to heat up: I simply sautéed them for a few minutes on each side in a pan on the stove with a bit of olive oil.

My family loved the meal and, because these burgers are sectioned into two 4-packs, I only had to heat four burgers at a time and could easily store the other four in the freezer for the next time. The following week, I used the remaining burgers as part of my weekly lunch meal prep, serving them diced over a bed of wild rice and roasted vegetables with a side of tzatziki sauce. The chicken patties are so flavorful that I didn’t miss the bun, and I knew I’d found a new grocery staple at my BJ’s.

Since then, I’ve served Amylu burgers on buns and off, using them for everything from a quick-and-easy lunch to an addition to vegetable kabobs—just slice up each burger and skewer each piece with vegetables like bell peppers and red onion. Amylu also makes roasted garlic chicken meatballs that I’ve thrown into pasta dishes and made meatball subs with.

It’s rare that I find a pre-packaged grocery item I feel confident serving my family, since these kinds of foods are so often packed with preservatives and sodium. Amylu chicken products taste incredible and are protein-packed, pre-cooked, and easy-to-grab with ingredients that I truly feel good about buying and eating.

If you’re a BJ’s Wholesale Club member, keep an eye out for Amylu products in your club’s refrigerated section. With multiple flavor-packed varieties, they’re a great addition to your weekly menu, from lunchtime meal prep to your family’s weekly burger night. What’s more, both of my favorite Amylu products should be in BJ’s clubs through January 2025, so there’s plenty of time to try them.
