Alexander and Marissa Kerfoot are officially parents! The Canadian NHL forward and his wife welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Carrera. The proud parents have been enjoying time with their little one at home in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Marissa announced the arrival of their daughter by sharing a carousel of photos from a newborn photoshoot to Instagram on Tuesday. The post included photos of Alexander and Marissa cradling their daughter in her desert-themed nursery, along with solo snaps of Carrera wearing a white dress and pink bow.

"First few weeks at home with our girlie, Carrera," Marissa captioned her post. "[Alexander] getting outnumbered by all his girls!"

The announcement earned praise from friends and family who were eager to welcome baby Carrera.

"Absolutely perfect little family! Love you guys!" Dallas Stars centre Colin Blackwell commented.

"OMG, she literally looks like a doll! Absolute perfection," Emma Barrie, wife of Canadian NHL defenceman Tyson Barrie, added.

"She's such a perfect little peach! You look great," Claire Crouse, wife of Canadian NHL winger Lawson Crouse, wrote.

"The sweetest little face," one person shared.

Alexander and Marissa surprised fans with their pregnancy announcement on social media in May. Marissa shared a series of candid photos on Instagram that featured several snaps showing off her growing baby bump.

"The past month of patiently waiting to meet our Baby K!" Marissa captioned the post.

Alexander — who previously played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Arizona Coyotes, until becoming part of the Utah Hockey Club — met Marissa when they were both studying at Harvard University. During their studies, they both shared a passion for hockey — ice hockey and field hockey, respectively.

After graduating in 2017, the couple continued dating until Alexander popped the question in 2022. Marissa shared the news of their engagement with a series of Instagram photos from the proposal on her 27th birthday in Boston. In July 2023, the Kerfoots announced they had tied the knot in Okanagan, B.C.
