Create a shopping list
Much like when you’re grocery shopping, sticking to what you actually need is much easier when you’re equipped with a well-stocked shopping list.
Set a budget
If you’re looking to stay on budget, give yourself an allowance ahead of time, and separate items into must-haves and nice-to-haves so you don’t end up going overboard on sale items.
Plan ahead
If you’ll be shopping online, be sure to fill your cart ahead of time to put together a selection of items to watch. That way, when the deals go live, you’ll already have everything together and can beat the rush to the checkout.
Shop early
Plan on waking up early (or staying up late) to get a head start on the items in your online cart before they sell out.
Think long term
In the run-up to the holidays, you’ll want to start shopping early to avoid potential shipping delays for any gifts. Luckily, Black Friday is the perfect opportunity to find gifts for everyone on your shopping list without breaking the bank.
Know the return policy
Before you buy anything, be sure to inquire about the return policy if you're not 100 per cent certain that you’ll keep everything. Bonus tip: don't forget to ask for gift receipts!
