The hits just keep on coming for Evander Kane.

After the NHL completed its investigation into claims that the San Jose Sharks winger was gambling on his own games, two more allegations have come to surface.

Shortly following the examination into Kane’s gambling history, accusations of sexual assault and domestic battery arose after Kane’s estranged wife Anna filed a domestic violence restraining order on Sept. 21, per court documents obtained by Front Office Sports.

Most recently, deep into the NHL’s investigation report there was mention of an inquiry about “allegations of inappropriate behaviour potentially jeopardizing the health and safety of Club members.”

Kane, his legal representatives, and the NHL and NHLPA declined to comment, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, who reports it is an alleged violation of COVID protocols.

In January, the league fined the Washington Capitals $100,000 after four players violated existing protocols at a social gathering. The players were then suspended for four games. Under the current and lengthy health and safety guidelines the NHL laid out ahead of the 2021-22 season, there are a number of restrictions that Kane could have potentially violated.

Kane is not participating in the Sharks' training camp and there is no certainty that he will be suiting up for them when they open the season on Oct. 16 against the Winnipeg Jets.
