The actor previously opened up to Vogue about motherhood, following the birth of her son. "It's so scary to talk about motherhood," she admitted.

"Only because it's so different for everybody. If I say 'It was amazing from the start', some people will think 'It wasn't amazing for me at first', and feel bad.

"Fortunately I have so many girlfriends who were honest. Who were like, 'It's scary. You might not connect right away. You might not fall in love right away'. So I felt so prepared to be forgiving."

She added: "The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere."

When she's not starring in blockbusters, Lawrence can be found behind the camera as she explores a new side to her career. The actor has been working on documentaries that spotlight women's issues, as well as broader social causes, which she produces through her own company Excellent Cadaver.

Alongside Hillary Clinton, Lawrence executive produced a documentary about the impact of strict anti-abortion laws in Texas. Zurawski v Texas will premiere New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and San Antonio on October 25.
