Selena Gomez Arrives In A Breathtaking Off-The-Shoulder Gown To The L.A. 'Emilia Pérez' Premiere

Selena Gomez continued her all-black dressing for the Emilia Pérez press tour last night, stepping out at the Los Angeles premiere of the film in an Elie Saab haute couture dress. The dark floor-length gown had a dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline and satin wrap detailing on the bodice. Gomez added silver hoop earrings and black leather opera gloves to finish the look.

Emilia Pérez comes out in limited theatres on November 1, 2024 and will be available on Netflix starting November 13.

Earlier today, Gomez shared an Instagram where she touched on the experience of making Emilia Pérez. 'Reflecting on the many adventures working on Emilia.. from my audition to head banging at half the speed as what we shot it. Pretty sure I got whiplash in the best way,' she wrote. Her post included footage of her audition scene; Gomez plays Jessi, the wife of the titular character.

Director Jacques Audiard spoke to Netflix’s Tudum about how quickly he knew Gomez was right for the role. 'I met Selena Gomez one morning in New York,' he said. 'I remembered her from Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, but I hardly knew anything about her. In 10 minutes, I knew it would be her. I actually told her, and she wouldn’t believe me. When we called her a year later to tell her that the film was greenlit, she thought I’d forgotten about her!'
