Popular car YouTube channel Autotopia LA recently got pulled over by a cop in California while ripping it in a million dollar modified Ford Mustang. It’s the kind of situation just about every enthusiast can relate to and should make you laugh as well as cringe to watch unfold.

This twin-turbo Audi R8 V10 is frighteningly fast.

Sean from the channel is riding shotgun in what we’re told is a $1,000,000 Ford Mustang. It looks highly modified, with a full roll cage, paddle shifters, and quite the digital dash. Apparently, it also gets going in a hurry, right past a motorcycle cop who was obviously running traffic enforcement, resulting in the little pony getting pulled over.

The driver said he thought he was going about “50-ish” by his reckoning. However, the cop retorted with what he clocked the Mustang at – 79 mph. If this were in a 45 mph zone it still would be speeding, but not that bad. But this was apparently in a 35 mph zone.

“That could go reckless, that could go lots of things,” the officer explains after dropping the numerical bomb on the driver and Sean. What anyone with experience and a brain is to understand by that is the cop is alluding to how he could tow the car, arrest the driver, and so forth.

We’re not entirely sure how it works in California, since we’re not attorneys, but our understanding is in some areas the passenger could even face charges, at least under certain circumstances.

Since the short video has dropped and not the full version, we don’t know how this traffic stop ends. The cop sure sounds upset, so that’s not a great sign, but the driver might’ve just gotten off with a fat ticket and been grateful.

Having your car impounded is expensive with fees piling up daily. That alone should be incentive to take aggressive runs like this to the track or at least a stretch of road in the middle of nowhere, although you can still risk having a cop catch you.
