Nissan 350Z Goes Nose-To-Nose With Police Cruiser

We’ve come to realize a lot of people, like this Nissan 350Z driver, don’t understand what’s on the front of police cruisers. For some reason certain individuals seem to believe the push bar is a soft object, like extra padding in case the cops hit something or someone, instead of realizing it’s a solid steel device intended to disable fleeing suspects’ cars.

Is this the slowest police chase ever?

It didn’t take long for the Fairlady Z driver to learn the literally hard truth firsthand. According to PoliceActivity, which shared this rather entertaining dashcam footage, what precipitated this chase was a Thurston County deputy spotting the Nissan in the area of Rochester, Washington with no license plates displayed.

Usually when guys aren’t displaying a plate they’re really up to no good. That’s not just some misunderstanding like forgetting to put the new registration sticker on, but instead it’s normally a person who’s trying to fly under the radar and never for a reputable reason.

So it shouldn’t have been a surprise to the deputy that when he tried pulling up behind the sports car the driver cut through a gas station, then fled into a residential area. Once reaching a highway, the 350Z allegedly climbed to 130 mph.

But the driver not only doesn’t realize what a push bar is for, he couldn’t handle his rear-wheel-drive sports car properly. The guy spun out doing through a turn, so he was pointed in the opposite direction.

Once the deputy approached, instead of surrendering the guy tried to flee. That’s when the deputy planted his push bar right in the Z’s nose, disabling it.

Considering how dumb and stubborn the driver behaved, it shouldn’t be a surprise he fled on foot, then didn’t surrender when police threatened to send a K9 to get him, ultimately getting bit into submission. We guess he also had no idea police dogs have sharp teeth.
