Michael Jordan, the legendary basketball icon, has just added another extraordinary vehicle to his already impressive car collection: the Pininfarina Battista Targamerica. Unveiled at Monterey Car Week this year, this one-of-a-kind electric supercar was commissioned by Jordan himself in 2023, and it stands as one of the rarest in his lineup.
The Battista Targamerica is based on the record-breaking Pininfarina Battista, a 1,900-horsepower all-electric supercar. Jordan’s personal touch can be seen throughout the Targamerica, including a custom cigar holder and humidor—a feature truly unique in the world of supercars. The car’s name was also chosen by Jordan, combining his love for the Targa body style with a nod to his American roots.
The Battista Targamerica shares the same groundbreaking engineering as the standard Battista, boasting a 120 kWh battery and four electric motors that generate over 1,725 lb-ft of torque. With the ability to go from 0-60 mph in less than two seconds, it’s one of the fastest production cars in the world, befitting someone of Jordan’s caliber.
Jordan’s car collection has long reflected his passion for rare, high-performance vehicles. Alongside his new Targamerica, he owns classics like the Ferrari 512 TR, Porsche 911 Turbo, and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, all showcasing his taste for luxury and speed.
