Little Red Corvette Has Its Way At Burger King

Burger King famously has been telling customers to “have it your way” for a long time, but the driver of a C5 Corvette decided to take that a little too literally. The little red American sports car slammed into the side of a Burger King restaurant in Suffolk, Virginia, frightening patrons and staff inside.

Police in California are finding Teslas are almost worthless as cop cars.

It happened just before 4 pm on October 14, so we’re guessing the driver was older and that was an early supper time. We’ve seen people get hangry before, but this takes things to a whole new level. Thankfully nobody was hurt in this crash because we’ve seen cars hit buildings where injuries are serious.

This looks like the ‘Vette barely punched through the exterior wall of the restaurant, likely because the driver hit the brakes before it crashed all the way through.

Exactly what caused the accident wasn’t revealed by authorities. The collision looks like it was at a low speed, with damage to the C5 Corvette and the restaurant itself minimal. If we had to guess, and in this case we do, it’s likely this was a case of someone getting confused between the brake and accelerator. Either they were pulling up to the Burger King or were leaving after their Chevy had been parked outside.

We see a lot of cases of people hitting buildings because they confuse the two pedals in their car. This is why we love manual transmissions since they take these kinds of errors almost entirely out of the equation. Sometimes, simpler is worse, especially when it comes to the operation of a vehicle.

Just remember, when Burger King says “have it your way” that doesn’t mean to have your way with its buildings, crashing your car through the side just because you didn’t like the chicken fries or Whopper.
