The 2025 Hyundai Elantra N has a new TCR edition inspired by the race car that competes in the TCR World Tour championships.
The special-edition performance sedan adds lightweight wheels, upgraded brakes, and a giant rear wing not found on the base car.
The TCR Edition will first launch in Korea in December before joining Hyundai's global markets next year.
The Hyundai Elantra N is anything but subtle. Whether you're a fan of the styling or not, you've got to admit that it is eye-catching. Then there's the noise. With the car switched to Sport+ or N Mode, even the slightest lift of the go pedal creates a chorus of pops and bangs for the whole neighborhood to hear. Despite all that, Hyundai apparently feels some customers want more. For those looking for an even showier Elantra N, the new TCR Edition has you covered.
Hyundai says the special edition of the performance sedan is "inspired by its multiple race and championship victories achieved in TCR." TCR stands for Touring Car Racing, and it refers to Hyundai's race car that competes in the TCR World Tour championship.
With that in mind, the TCR Edition has a lightweight set of 19-inch forged wheels, and it comes with four-piston N Performance brakes. The back of the car sports a lightweight carbon-fiber swan-neck spoiler that looks as if it was unbolted from the back of the race car and transferred directly to the road car. Hyundai says the wing is adjustable and can be moved depending on driving conditions.
The interior of the TCR Edition gets special attention as well, with the Alcantara steering wheel sporting a blue hash mark at the 12-o'clock position. The seatbelts are finished in the same hue, plus there's exclusive TCR badging to let everyone know this car is special.
The special-edition model will launch in South Korea this December as the Avante N TCR Edition before expanding to Hyundai's global markets next year. There's no word on pricing, but we imagine the special edition will cost a pretty penny more than the current model, which starts at $35,100.
