Showcasing impressive off-the-line performance against the supercar.

Hennessey Performance Engineering has done it again, this time pitting its monstrous Cadillac Escalade-V H1000 against a Lamborghini Huracán EVO in an unexpected drag race battle. While these two vehicles might seem like polar opposites—one a three-row luxury SUV with a supercharged V8 and the other a sleek, mid-engine supercar with a roaring V10—the showdown proves just how potent Hennessey’s upgrades are.

The Lamborghini Huracán EVO, in this case, appears to be the LP 610-2 variant, with a 5.2-liter V10 engine delivering 602 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Weighing significantly less and featuring a lower drag coefficient, the Huracán’s lightweight design gives it a clear aerodynamic advantage, making it a formidable opponent on the track.

However, the Cadillac Escalade-V H1000, boasting a Hennessey-tuned 6.2-liter V8 LT4 engine, comes armed with 1,005 horsepower and 882 lb-ft of torque—50% more power and 35% more torque than the stock Escalade-V. Hennessey achieved these eye-watering figures by adding a high-flow supercharger, custom camshaft, ported cylinder heads, a high-performance throttle body, and a custom engine tune.

In the video, the Escalade-V H1000 impressively launches quicker off the line, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system and massive torque output. Despite weighing nearly 2,700 pounds more than the Lamborghini, the Hennessey-tuned Escalade shows that its power and traction can give it a head start against the lightweight supercar.

Ultimately, the Huracán EVO edges out as the overall better performer, thanks to its aerodynamic advantages and reduced weight. Yet, the Escalade’s ability to keep up and even outpace the Italian supercar off the line demonstrates that Hennessey’s H1000 upgrade transforms this luxury SUV into a track-worthy powerhouse.

For fans of high-performance vehicles, this showdown is a testament to how aftermarket tuning can push the boundaries of what’s possible, even in a vehicle as large and luxurious as the Cadillac Escalade.
