Best Full-Size Pickup Trucks for 2024 and 2025
Full-size pickup trucks are a staple of American society. They consistently rank as the bestselling vehicles in the U.S. year after year, and they are fantastic multi-taskers. Whether you need a work truck, a luxury vehicle, a family hauler, or a towing machine, half-ton trucks are for those who need to get stuff done. Today's pickups have remarkably wide lineups, with off-road-oriented performance versions, luxuriously outfitted trim levels with lots of chrome, and everything in between. If you're looking for a pickup that suits your specific desires, you'll surely find a configuration that works. Here are our favorite pickup trucks ranked in order of our preference.

2025 Ford F-150
Base price: $40,705
There's a reason the Ford F-150 is the bestselling passenger vehicle in the United States: it does it all. Great looks, a range of solid engine choices (including twin-turbo V-6s, a V-8, and a hybrid), and a world-class interior combine to make one of the most excellent trucks you can buy right now. We're particularly fond of the supercharged V-8-powered Raptor R, but if you can't swing its six-figure cost, there are other off-road trim levels such as the Tremor (pictured) at more reasonable price points.
2025 Ram 1500
Base price: $42,270
It may not have a Hemi V-8 anymore, but the updated Ram 1500 is arguably the best it's ever been. That's thanks to a powerful new twin-turbo inline-six engine and a luxurious range-topping trim level called Tungsten that has everything but the kitchen sink. The Hellcat-powered TRX is sadly gone, but its replacement is the fun-to-drive RHO model, which preserves much of the TRX's off-road capability.

2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Base price: $37,645
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a tough machine that benefits from GM's precise chassis tuning and satisfying small-block V-8 engine choices. It drives well for such a big and capable truck, and it offers something other full-size pickups don't: a fuel-efficient turbo-diesel engine. The off-road-focused ZR2 (pictured) is our favorite not only for how it looks, but because of its magical Multimatic DSSV dampers.

2025 GMC Sierra 1500
Price: $38,945
Think of the GMC Sierra 1500 as a Silverado, but way nicer. It offers more standard features, a better cabin with higher-quality materials, and more options available from the factory. Engine choices are the same as the Chevy's: two strong V-8s and a turbo-diesel inline-six. If you want to flex on everyone at your worksite, you get a GMC Denali. That's the most luxurious version available. But the Sierra also knows how to get dirty, as it offers off-road-oriented AT4 and AT4X versions, some of which have special equipment from off-road outfitter AEV.
2025 Toyota Tundra
Base price: $42,035
The Toyota Tundra can be anything you want it to be. In its base form, it's a strong work truck with excellent reliability. In TRD Pro form (pictured) it can be a sporty brute capable of conquering any terrain. Or, in Capstone form, it can be the ultimate luxury pickup. It also offers a hybrid powertrain that's more powerful than the standard twin-turbo 3.4-liter V-6. All you have to do is choose.

2024 Nissan Titan
Base price: $48,700
While it's not as compelling as some of the other models on this list, the Nissan Titan remains a solid choice in the segment thanks to its standard 400-hp V-8 and nice cabin. There's no performance model or even an off-road trim, which is unfortunate. Nissan isn't planning to replace the current Titan once it goes out production, so if you want one, act fast.
