  • The Chevy Silverado EV lineup gets bigger for 2025 following the introduction of the LT trim.

  • The LT starts at $75,195, which is about $21K less than last year's RST model, and Chevy says it'll be eligible for the $7500 federal tax credit.

  • For 2025, the RST's base price drops to $89,395, thanks to a new standard battery, and the fleet-focused Work Truck now offers up to 492 miles of range.

The Chevy Silverado EV RST was previously the only retail model available, and with a price tag eclipsing $96K, the electric pickup truck was mostly limited to people in a higher tax bracket. That changes for the 2025 model year, as Chevy has introduced a more affordable LT trim level, which costs nearly $21K less than last year's RST and starts at $75,195. That price will drop even more after the $7500 federal tax credit, which Chevy says the lower-cost truck is eligible for.

New Silverado EV LT

The new Silverado EV LT comes standard with dual electric motors that provide all-wheel drive and produce up to 645 horsepower and 765 pound-feet of torque (when drivers activate the Wide Open Watts mode, that is). The LT offers a single battery option that's EPA-estimated for 408 miles of range, however, opting for the LT Premium package drops that estimate to 390 miles. That $6800 package (late availability) replaces the LT's standard 18-inch wheels with a set of 22-inchers and includes the Mutli-Flex Midgate as well as GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving mode.

For 2025, the top-spec Silverado RST now offers two battery options, the standard "Extended" range and the available "Max" range. The Extended pack helps lower the RST's base price versus last year—as it now starts at $89,395—and it has an EPA-estimated range of 390 miles. With the bigger battery, the RST's price starts at $97,895, and Chevy estimates a range of 460 miles.

Work Truck Updates

The fleet-oriented Silverado EV Work Truck also receives changes for 2025. It will offer three battery sizes, with the biggest providing up to 492 miles of range based on the EPA's estimate. That's 42 miles more than before. With the Max pack, the WT starts at $77,795, but it can also be optioned with standard- and extended-range batteries for $57,095 and $69,495, respectively. The latter has an EPA-estimated range of 422 miles, but the former's range rating won't be released until a later date.

Chevy says most of the 2025 Silverado EV lineup will go on sale later this year, with the WT and the smallest battery slated to launch sometime next year for both fleet and retail customers.
