Michael Clarke makes return to Sydney radio amid Karl Stefanovic scandal
The former Australia cricket captain failed to address the incident involving girlfriend Jade Yarbrough in Noosa.
Michael Clarke has let questions about his very public park brawl go right through to the keeper after returning to his Sydney breakfast radio show on Monday morning. The former Australia cricket captain was expected to go into greater detail about his stoush with partner Jade Yarbrough and her brother-in-law - Channel 9 personality Karl Stefanovic - in a Noosa park.
But he pretty much avoided the subject altogether when opening the show with his Big Sports Breakfast on-air partners Laurie Daley and Gerard Middleton. Clarke made no mention of the episode in beginning the show with a line about his lack of sleep the previous night.

"I didn't sleep great. I woke probably three times before that 4am alarm," he reported. "What kills me is that midnight or 1.30 in the morning bathroom trip. Once I've got to walk to the bathroom, I'm gone, I'm awake. It hurt me today."
There was some chat among the trio about what they did on holidays before Middleton briefly addressed the Clarke-in-the-park situation. "It's a private matter Clarkey's been dealing with," he said.
"It's a very, very private matter that unfortunately was made public, but there's a lot of factors in play here. Clarkey's made his statement last week and due to all these factors in play, we're moving forward on the Big Sports Breakfast this morning."
The only other reference to the high-profile stoush was when Middleton asked Clarke about the injury he sustained during the Noose fracas. Middleton said: "I want to ask you, honestly, you showed us before that bruise on your hamstring, that is incredible, mate."
Clarke replied: "It's fine, buddy. It’s on the mend." Middleton: "You're not going to be able to walk properly for weeks. Clarke: "I'm good to go. Game day, bring it on."
Michael Clarke's commentary job uncertain
The show them moved on to discuss the summer of cricket without returning to the Clarke incident. The ex-Test skipper and Yarbrough were fined by Queensland police for causing public nuisance after their expletive-rich argument.
Stefanovic, who tried to calm the situation, copped a spray from Clarke and the status of their friendship is unsure. Clarke has kept his job on the Big Sports Breakfast after Sky Sports station owner TabCorp declared the park fight a private matter.
It's uncertain whether the 41-year-old will be retained as a television commentator for Australia's upcoming Test series in India.
