TabCorp has revealed that Michael Clarke will keep his Sydney breakfast radio job following a public altercation with his girlfriend and Karl Stefanovic. Video was published on Wednesday night showing the Aussie cricket great in a physical stoush with girlfriend Jade Yarbrough in a public park in Noosa.

Ms Yarbrough is the sister of Stefanovic's wife Jasmine. The video seemingly shows Jade Yarbrough slapping Clarke a number of times before he unleashed a verbal tirade on Stefanovic.

Ms Yarbrough can be heard accusing Clarke of cheating on her, allegedly with his ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards. She yells: “You f**ked her on December 17 … You f**ked her, you’re a f**king dog."

Clarke responds: “Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong.” Clarke can also be heard addressing Channel 9 presenter Stefanovic towards the end of the video, saying: "Carlos, don't you f***ing walk away."

TabCorp has since responded to the furore, telling AAP the matter is considered a private issue and Clarke is expected to return to air as previously scheduled. Clarke is on pre-planned annual leave from his role at Sky Sports Breakfast, with the station's breakfast crew due to return on Monday.

Clarke, who played 115 Test matches and 245 one-day internationals for Australia, has been part of the Big Sports Breakfast team since he first partnered rugby league legend Laurie Daley in 2020. The former captain of Australia has had roles as part of the ICC broadcast team for recent global cricket tournaments, but currently has no other major media position in Australia.

Michael Clarke issues apology over altercation

Clarke has since apologised for actions, telling the Daily Telegraph he accepts full responsibility for the incident and has been left shattered. He told the publication: "I'm absolutely gutted I've put people I hold in the highest regard in this position.

"My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable. I own this fully and am the only one at fault."

Stefanovic appeared in his regular role as co-host of Channel 9's Today Show on Thursday morning. He didn't address the matter.

The incident reportedly took place on January 10 at a beachside restaurant during a family holiday involving Clarke, Stefanovic and their partners. Onlookers were reportedly shocked by the behaviour, with children among those to witness the spat.

Clarke and Jade Yarbrough have been together since August, while Stefanovic has been married to Jasmine Yarbrough since 2018. Clarke was reportedly introduced to Jade by Stefanovic, who split with first wife Cassandra Thorburn in 2017.

Clarke briefly dated Edwards, a fashion designer, after his divorce with wife Kyly in 2020. Edwards said in a statement on Thursday: “This is not my circus. Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.”

Clarke and ex-wife Kyly announced in February 2020 that their seven-year marriage was ending. They said they remained committed to co-parenting daughter Kelsey Lee.

The 41-year-old Clarke scored 8643 Test runs at an average of 49.10, as well as 7981 runs in ODIs at 44.58. His 8643 runs at Test level are the fifth-most by an Australian in history after he was recently overtaken by Steve Smith.
