Zara Tindall's modern twist on her 'something blue' for 2011 wedding to Mike revealed
Zara Tindall's modern take on the traditional 'something blue' worn by a bride on her wedding day has been revealed.
The royal, 41, married former rugby star and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 2022 contestant Mike Tindall, 44, in Scotland in 2011 after eight years of dating. Zara wore a white, fairy tale dress by Stewart Parvin but added a pop of colour elsewhere.
The Olympian painted her toenails electric blue for the big day, keeping her 'something blue' concealed in her wedding shoes but revealed them to The Sunday Times journalist in a pair of Havaiana flip-flops during an interview conducted two days after the nuptials.
She told the newspaper: “I got married with them this colour. It was my ‘something blue’.”
For her 'something borrowed', Princess Anne's daughter wore her mother's tiara, the 'something old' were a pair of diamond earrings and the 'something new' was her dress.
She added: "It’s quite weird being called Mrs Tindall, and having to wear a ring. I don’t usually wear rings. It took a long time to get used to. I love it, but it was weird.”
