Victoria Beckham presented with women of the year prize by daughter Harper, 13
Victoria Beckham has been honoured with an entrepreneur award at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year 2024 awards, presented to her by her daughter Harper. The former Spice Girl and fashion mogul was recognised for her "innovation and dedication to the British and global fashion industry" at a ceremony held at Claridge’s hotel in London on Tuesday 5 November.
Harper, 13, the youngest child of Victoria and David Beckham, is no stranger to her mum's fashion events and even attended the premiere of their Netflix documentary. Also awarded on Tuesday night, 5 November, was Killing Eve and Silo star Dame Harriet Walter, who received the icon award for her theatre, film and TV work. The award was presented by Brian Cox, who played her ex-husband in the hit series Succession.
On the red carpet, Dame Harriet expressed her gratitude for the recognition at 74 years old. She said: "There are fewer of us (women) in the industry, we get less of a bite at the cherry, particularly when you get older".

She continued: "I hope I can represent all the other older women who are still good at their job, you know, and still got their health, we hope, and they’re sitting at home, ‘When’s my agent going to call? ’ So I feel very lucky and if I can inspire anybody to keep going and believe in themselves, that’s a good thing."
At the star-studded Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, literary icon Dame Jilly Cooper was honoured with the writer prize for "her extraordinary half-century contribution to literature" by Poldark heartthrob Aidan Turner, who appears in the Disney+ adaptation of her novel, Rivals.
Bridgerton sensation Nicola Coughlan dazzled as she scooped up the television actress prize, while Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner was celebrated with the performance award.
Harper’s Bazaar UK's editor-in-chief Lydia Slater expressed her admiration, saying: "We are hugely privileged to have presented the Women of the Year Awards to this esteemed group of winners, all of whom have left us inspired by their trailblazing, impactful contribution and dedication to their respective fields."
Chart-topping sensation Raye, who set records with her independently released album My 21st Century Blues, One Day star star Ambika Mod, acclaimed artist Rana Begum, visionary designer Francesca Amfitheatrof, and Olympic hero Katarina Johnson-Thompson were also among the illustrious recipients of women of the year gongs.
