Strictly pro Jowita Przystal's relationship history - show dancer ex to Pete Wicks rumours
Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Jowita Przystal is paired with former TOWIE star Pete Wicks for the 20th anniversary series of the dance show, and has so far entertained fans by getting the reality star to dress up as George of the Jungle during Movie Week, and dance the Rumba to Oasis song Don’t Look Back in Anger during the show earlier this month.
The pair have faced gossip about a possible romance, which they have both denied, with Jowita speaking exclusively to OK! on Monday 21 October from the Pride of Britain Awards red carpet about the swirling rumours. She said: "We have very good chemistry together as friends, we really get on well with each other, and we have so much fun together. And dancing is a bit like acting, so we're telling a story every night on Saturday night, and I think we're doing a pretty good job with that so..." She added: "But we're very good friends, and I love him so much as a brother, and I think we're going to stay friends for life, to be honest."

Jowita, who is 30 and hails from Poland, began dancing professionally aged 12. In 2014, when she was 20, she went on to become Poland’s Open Latin Champion. One year later, she moved away from her experience in Ballroom and Latin in order to join Burn the Floor - a touring dance company that specialises in contemporary dance. She has lived in the UK since 2019 and previously ran a dance school with professional dancer Michael Danilczuk, who was also her boyfriend away from the dance floor. The couple won BBC’s The Greatest Dancer in 2020, and the prize was £50,000 and the chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
Jowita and Michael first met in 2013 at a dance camp in Krakow, Poland. Despite not liking one another initially, after one year of partnership they fell in love and previously described themselves as “inseparable.” Her Instagram feed was once littered with loved-up selfies of her and Michael, however they split shortly before the 2022 series of Strictly began.
Jowita was then rumoured to have found love with fellow Strictly professional Giovanni Pernice. At the time, a source told The Sun: “She and Gio are the worst kept secret, but make a great couple.”
The two professional dancers reportedly made things public at Chelsea football midfielder Jorginho's birthday dinner at Grappelli, an Italian restaurant in Cobham, Surrey. The source continued: “While they both kept insisting they were single, the pair’s chemistry was ridiculous — and they kept getting busted snogging in corridors. Crew even saw them kissing in the production office." However, Giovanni and Jowita never confirmed the rumours, and by March last year it was reported that the couple were no longer together.
