Strictly judge Shirley Ballas, 64, 'splits from fiance Danny Taylor, 51, after six years'
Strictly Come Dancing's head judge Shirley Ballas, 64, has reportedly split from her fiance Danny Taylor, 51, after a six year relationship.
A source told The Sun: "As with any break-up, it is, of course, a very sad situation. She gave her all to that relationship and in the end came to the realisation that it wasn't going anywhere. She made a lot of effort to see Danny and support his theatre and panto work, travelling up and down the country. Distance also played its part - Shirley lives in London with her mother and Danny remains based in Liverpool; that commute is a killer.
"But Shirley is a strong, resilient character and is looking better than ever. She will 100% bounce back - 2025 promises to be an absolute corker for her."

It is thought that the couple remain friends and they still follow each other on social media. OK! has contacted a representative for Shirley for comment.
Shirley and Danny got engaged in 2021. It was reported earlier this year that they had called off their wedding, but Shirley confirmed that they were still together. "Danny and I are still together contrary to anything you might read. Who knows [if we'll get married]," she told The Mirror in June.
The couple met in 2018 when they were both starring in a Christmas production of Jack and The Beanstalk and began dating in 2019.
Meanwhile, Shirley has vowed to stay on Strictly until she is no longer needed and revealed that she will stay on it until she "pops her clogs".
The TV personality and dance pro is passionate about her role on the BBC favourite, telling the Daily Star Sunday: "I've been on the show for eight years and I'll stay on it until I pop my clogs." Shirley, who shares the judging table with Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, and Anton Du Beke, has been a fixture since 2016.
She explained her enthusiasm for returning each year: "Every year, when I'm asked to come back, I have a little think and then I say, 'Yes, thank you'. The only other reason I'd go is if they don't want me anymore."
Her love for the series is fuelled by the fresh faces she encounters every season, saying: "Every year, the show is something new and I get to meet new people. It's family show that everybody in the country really enjoys. It sends positive messages and that's what I love about it."
