Strictly Come Dancing stars pay tribute to professional dancer after death aged just 44
Strictly Come Dancing stars paid tribute to their late co-star Robin Windsor on Sunday night, 3 November. Many dancers and celebrities were in attendance at the evening, Robin Windsor: The Final Act, at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane to remember Robin, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 44.
Robin appeared on Strictly Come Dancing from 2010 until 2014. Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley, who danced with Robin on Strictly in 2012, and current judge of the BBC show, Anton Du Beke were the hosts of the evening. There was also performances from Strictly professional dancers Lauren Oakley, Kai Widdrington and Aljaz Skorjanec.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Kai wore a smart grey suit and posed for a snap with his dance partner of last year, Angela Rippon, who stunned in a red gown. Also attending the event were Robin’s ex-Strictly Come Dancing partner, Anita Dobson, who he danced with in 2011. Star of Dragons’ Den, Deborah Meaden, who Robin danced with in 2013, wore a white jacket and leopard print scarf.

Also wearing red for the evening was singer Pixie Lott, who pulled off her look with some sparkly silver heels. Loose Women star Linda Robson was also in attendance.
Singer Beverley Knight opted for a bright green halterneck number for the evening while Dr Ranj Singh, Gordana Grandosek Whiddon and Robin's close pal Trent Whiddon were also spotted at the VIP reception.
Pasha Kovalev, Anya Garnis, Deborah Meaden, Joanne Clifton, Vincent Simone, Lance Ellington all took to the stage during the evening. All profits from the evening went directly to SANE, a mental health charity which was close to Robin's heart.
The news that Robin had passed away was announced early this year. Dance company Burn The Floor, which Robin co-founded, confirmed his passing on Facebook on 19 February. The company's statement read: "The Burn the Floor family has lost one of its founding members, Robin 'Bobby' Windsor - who has tragically passed away."
It continued: "A BTF journeyman he danced with us for twenty years - including Broadway, The West End and all our crazy adventures around the world. His stunning image attached with Jessica Raffa defined our company, colourful, extreme and sensual. His talent, attitude, energy and personality helped create the Burn the Floor stage reputation. He leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled, yet our wonderful memories will stay forever."
Fans and fellow celebrities flocked to pay tribute to the professional dancer, including fellow former Strictly star James Jordan. He wrote on X: "I had the pleasure of working with this man for many years on Strictly. Everyone who came in contact with him adored him, from his celebrity partners to his working colleagues. You will be missed old friend."
