She's known for sharing snippets of family life with her 6 million Instagram followers, and Stacey Solomon says she cherishes the moments she shares online. However, in an exclusive chat with OK!, the star revealed that there's one aspect of family life she will never share to the public - tantrums.

Mum to five kids - Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle - the TV personality revealed that she is against posting negative moments of her kids on the internet. She explained: “I get asked a lot on Instagram [about tough times with the kids]. People will say, ‘Your kids always look so happy and are never throwing tantrums.’ But for me, I just don’t feel that is information I should ever be putting out there about my kids – everyone has good days and bad days.

"I would much rather them look back at our lives, and all that we’ve made public are happy memories. I don’t want them to look back and be like, ‘Wow, I was having such a bad day then.’”

Reflecting on her own upbringing, Dagenham-born Stacey continued, “I think about my childhood and my dad always had a video camera, so I’ve got amazing memories and clips of my growing up. There are so many happy moments. He never filmed me having a paddy in the middle of Asda!"

Stacey and her husband Joe recently took a sunny trip to Turkey with the kids, and as we wondered whether there were any tough times during the trip, she explains her outlook.

"I’m sure there were days the children were tired and difficult, but they’re good kids and we’re extremely privileged. We went on a nice holiday and I didn’t have to cook dinner or clean the house for two weeks, so any tough day was nowhere near as tough as it would have been at home with all of the life stresses you have.”

Following their luxury getaway, Stacey has - sadly - returned to the everyday chores of cooking dinner and cleaning the house. And having partnered up with cleaning company Reckitt Bensicker, Stacey shared with us her top tip for a clean house.

She said: “My top cleaning tip would be, ‘Don’t set yourself unachievable goals’, especially if you’ve got a busy household like I do. We’ve got five kids and two dogs so the likelihood is I’ll clean and it will be dirty 10 seconds later. You need to choose a level of ‘clean’ you’re happy with, that is achievable to maintain. I also love products like Vanish. Having a good whitener is so important because I buy the kids white socks and shoes and they come back black straight away!”

Stacey Solomon has partnered with Reckitt for the launch of her limited-edition Stacey Loves range, including Vanish, Harpic, Finish and more. The range is available now in stores nationwide
