We're calling it now, winter 2024/25 is going to be the season of ski.

In fact, according to CEO and Co-Founder of Luxury Escapes, Adam Schwab, the site's data found that 'bookings for ski resorts have surged by 35% compared to last winter'. I mean what's not to love? Mulled wine, cosy chalets and days spent racing down the powder before finishing with a steaming hot chocolate?

'These resorts offer more than just slopes—think luxury spas, fine dining, and scenic winter trails—all perfect for travellers looking to escape the ordinary and embrace a fresh, invigorating getaway,' said Adam. 'More than ever, travellers are swapping crowded city breaks for cool, active experiences in stunning alpine settings.'

And with the first snowfall of the season hitting the UK earlier than usual (it was snow, not sleet and I won't hear anything else), it is high time we start prepping for the season in style.

Whether you're an expert carving up Black Diamonds or a newbie finding your footing on the slopes, quality gear is a must. And hey, if you're anything like this Fashion Editor, you might be more of an après-ski girl, after snow-appro kit that looks as good as it feels. Either way, you'll need gear that keeps you warm, dry, and—most importantly—safe, no matter your skill level.

We’ve pulled together some of the best ski and snowwear brands for your winter wish list, plus their top picks to help you crush it on the slopes this winter season.
