For dedicated fashion fans, few wardrobes spark as much envy as Carrie Bradshaw's. Even if you haven't seen a single episode of Sex and the City or its sequel series, And Just Like That..., it's a well-known fact that the fictional character, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, has achieved style icon status. And for good reason.

SJP as Carrie is regularly seen repping all the latest trends – think naked dressing, 3D florals, Y2K denim and peplums. So much so, we bet even Barbie herself would be jealous. Especially of the TV star's latest look.

Photographed on the streets of New York filming scenes for the third season of the series revival, the actress was snapped wearing a fuchsia pink maxi dress. AKA Barbie's trademark colour. With a collared neckline, rolled-up shirt sleeves and white button fastenings down the front, the bodice had a traditional shirt dress silhouette.

However, the bottom half of the design brought Carrie's trademark fun. The fabric flowed into a voluminous skirt with gathered sides tied up into a knot to create a slight bubble hem effect. The asymmetric hemline showed of the white lace-up shoe boots Sarah Jessica wore on her feet, coordinated with the statement buttons on her dress.

She had a black and white tote bag slung over one shoulder and carried a copy of Helen Garner's 1977 novel, Monkey Grip, clutched in one hand. Gold stud earrings and a selection of rings were her only other accessories. As for SJP's beauty look, her long blonde hair was worn down in brushed-out waves, paired with natural makeup and a rosy blush.

With a release date yet to be confirmed, we'll just have to occupy ourselves with drooling over all these behind-the-scenes outfits. If they're anything to go by, season three is going to be a good one – style-wise at least.
