George, Charlotte and Louis won't eat Christmas Day lunch with their parents, says expert
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's children, George, Charlotte and Louis will eat their Christmas Day lunch in a different room at Sandringham to their parents, according to a royal expert.
Royal reporter Omid Scobie explains that the princes and princess will eat their festive meal in the royal nursery while at Sandringham this Christmas.
Meanwhile their parents, and the rest of the adult Royal Family members, will eat in the royal dining room.
“The children having a separate Christmas lunch in the royal nursery. That’s something that Charlotte, George, Louis and, one day, Archie will have to do," Scobie tells the Queen's former chef Darren McGrady during the latest episode of 'The Royal Story'.
Despite eating in a separate room, the food the children eat won't be that different to what's dished up for the adults, says McGrady.
“They’re royal princes and princesses but they’re still children," McGrady explains.
"So it really is about making the sure the portions are smaller and not over-seasoning. But, they pretty much have the same sort of menu as the Royal Family.”
George, six, Charlotte, four, and Louis, one, are set to visit the Queen’s Norfolk residence this Christmas. Whether they young family will stay a night or two, is unknown.
However, considering William and Kate’s own Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, is just two miles east of Sandringham, they’ll likely just pop over for the festivities.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their seven-month-old son Archie won’t be joining the rest of the royals for Christmas.
Instead, they’re reportedly spending the holidays with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
It hasn’t been confirmed whether they’ll remain in the US - where they are currently - for Christmas, or return home to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.
