Watch: Royal biographer sparks controversy after admitting 'It's Meghan I'm after'
Royal biographer Tom Bower has launched a blistering attack on Meghan Markle during an appearance on Good Morning Britain.
"It's Meghan I'm after," he admitted during the segment, which focussed on the status of the Sussexes royal titles in light of Prince Harry's upcoming memoir, Spare.
Bower added, "I don't mind Harry" and claimed the late Queen "didn't like [Meghan], she saw right through her."

The author also alleged that the Queen had been "glad" Meghan was unable to attend the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral last year.
Bower cast aspersions on how involved Harry has been in the creation of his upcoming memoir, saying: "do you think he has read it? [...] it's ghostwritten."
On the other hand Bower said he believed that "Meghan has actually read every word," of the memoir saying she is "highly intelligent, very sophisticated."
Another guest, author and historian Tessa Dunlop, pushed back against Bower's claims, saying: "You can't bear a woman to be in control Tom."

Bower, 76, is the author of over twenty unauthorised biographies of high profile figures including businessmen, politicians and members of the Royal Family.
The recently released Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsors attracted controversy when a subject that Bower had interviewed for the book publicly distanced themselves from how Bower had portrayed his experiences with Meghan.
Sam Kashner — a journalist for Vanity Fair — was quoted in an extract of Revenge published in The Times as saying he "felt manipulated" by Meghan and that he "felt played" when interviewing her.

After the extract appeared in The Times, Kashner wrote a letter to the editor in which he clarified that "Tom Bower didn't convey my admiration and respect for Meghan Markle in the excerpt from his new book [...] I found Ms. Markle to be exceptionally warm and gracious and admired her intelligence and remarkable courage, as I still do."
Kashner added his "belated congratulations to Prince Harry for taking such an extraordinary woman as his bride. Theirs is clearly a love match, so maybe we should stop piling on and let the couple live their life in peace."
A review for Revenge that appeared in the Times called the book an "eye-popping character demolition" of Markle.
