The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived in Birmingham on Tuesday to watch the latest sporting action on day five of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
The royal couple announced on social media earlier this morning that they were on the way to the West Midlands.
Fresh from the weekend’s sporting events, where Prince William witnessed the Lionesses historic Euro 2022 win at Wembley, and the duchess helped Sir Ben Ainslie's Great Britain team win a special Commonwealth race against New Zealand in Plymouth, the pair said they were “looking forward to an exciting day of sport.”
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by their only daughter, and second eldest child Princess Charlotte, as the family started their day at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Smethwick to watch the swimming heats including the Men's 50m Freestyle and Women’s 200m Butterfly.

Kate, 40, wore a chic white suit for the day of sport, with an elegant blazer and tailored pair of trousers.
The sleek, fitted jacket is the same the Alexander McQueen Grain de Poudre wool blazer the duchess wore to the Windrush monument unveiling in June.

Whilst Kate Middleton wore a lovely Mappin and Webb 'Empress' diamond and white-gold necklace and earring set, she appeared to be missing her engagement ring.
Instead, the duchess simply wore her gold wedding band, made out of Welsh gold as is the tradition for royal wedding rings.
The duchess accessorised with a white belt and Camila Elphick two-tone slingback flat shoes, and wore her brunette hair in her signature blow dry.
The duchess’ mini-me, Princess Charlotte, seven, wore a sweet striped sundress for the day’s events at the aquatics centre, and the mother-daughter duo looked quite the stylish pair alongside Prince William, who wore a navy suit.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were seen giggling with their daughter for the sporting event, which is her first public solo appearance without her two brothers Prince George, nine, and Prince Louis, four.
Charlotte did follow the footsteps of her younger brother Louis with some hilarious faces as she and her parents watched the athletes compete in the swimming heats.
Prince Louis caught everyone's attention in June when he pulled a number of silly faces on the Buckingham Palace Balcony for the Trooping the Colour ceremony in honour of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
