Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been spotted together in public for the first time – and they’re feeling festive too, it seems, as the couple were buying a Christmas tree.

According to Christmas tree growers and retailers Pines and Needles, the pair visited their stall located inside Battersea Park on Monday.

The store’s finance and IT manager Dominic Wilkus told Yahoo! Style UK that the couple bought a Nordmann Fir – a variety known for its soft, non-drop needles – and that once the staff recognised who they were gave them a bunch of mistletoe and holly too.

And while some might expect a royal to buy a gigantic tree, they in fact went for a modest size that many of us would be able to fit in our own living rooms: six feet tall.

“Our staff member Zaqia Crawford served them – she didn’t recognise them initially until a colleague pointed them out, and she was like ‘oh my God’,” said Wilkus.

“We get a lot of VIP customers, but having them visit was an honour. It was an amazing thing to happen.”

Well, we’re certainly jealous – can’t say we can imagine the pair turning up at our offices any time soon.

How would you feel if Harry and Meghan visited your workplace? Overwhelmed, we presume – tweet us at @YahooStyleUK.
