Peter Andre has sent his love to Chris Hoy - who has sadly been diagnosed with terminal cancer - and also his wife Sarra, who is battling an aggressive form of Multiple Sclerosis. Writing in his weekly column, the 51 year old singer - who is dad to Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, with ex Katie Price, as well as Amelia, 10, Theo, seven, and six-month-old Arabella with wife Emily - said the couple are so "brave and selfless" to open up about their struggles.

He also discussed how he'd feel about joining the cast of The Traitors, his night out with family to The Pride of Britain Awards, and his latest work project...

A flying visit

I’ve had a great week filming a brand new drama on location in the Cyprus sunshine – I’m so excited for you all to see it. I can’t share too much yet, but what I can reveal is that it is going to be great – so watch this space.

It was a bit of a flying visit, though, as I jetted home on Friday to headline the 00s and 90s Halloween Indoor Festival in Milton Keynes. The crowd was amazing!

Fast farewells

I saw that Dunedin Airport in New Zealand has limited their drop-off times, with a sign up reading, “Max hug time 3 minutes”. It made me laugh and think “better make it quick with those goodbye hugs!”. I love that side of the world with their matter of fact manner.

It also reminded me of a time when I was driving through Australia and they had a massive sign on the motorway that said, “If you drink and drive, you’re a bl**dy idiot.” I mean, don't mess with the Aussies.

Brave couple

It was heartbreaking to hear the news of Chris Hoy and his wife, Sarra. They’re facing two very difficult things to deal with – not only does Chris have cancer but Sarra has been diagnosed with MS.

There’s something so brave and selfless about them talking about it, and it really does help other people feel less alone if they’re going through something similar. But I feel like, recently, all we’re hearing is sad news, and it really puts things into perspective.

Our big night out

Last week, Emily, Junior, Princess and I attended the Pride of Britain Awards, and, wow, what an amazing night. If you didn’t manage to catch the televised version last Thursday, the stories were so inspiring. I think it’s a wonderful thing that Brits praise their unsung heroes, it is so deserved.

We all had a fantastic time at the awards. Emily looked incredible – I don’t think she realises how gorgeous she is. At first she was hesitant about going out and leaving baby Arabella for a few hours, but I’m so glad we got to share the event as a family. It was great to have Junior and Princess with us too. My princess looked like... well, a princess. Junior also looked suave in his double-breasted suit. It was a great evening.

No Traitor

I, like many, love watching a bit of reality TV, and I was reading about a rumoured line-up for a celebrity version of The Traitors, with the likes of Tom Daley and Clare Balding. That’ll be some show! I’d be rubbish at that sort of thing. My face would give the game away from the start… or I’d end up just telling someone if I was a “traitor” or a “faithful”. I’m much better at watching these shows than taking part!
