We don’t need to tell you that ballet flats have been the shoes of the year, with one style proving both popular and divisive among the style set: mesh ballet pumps.

Everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to Dakota Johnson have embraced the design, but Pamela Anderson went one step further by proving that the trending flats are red-carpet material.

The former Baywatch star and Playboy model, looked cool and chic as she attended the 2024 Governors Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday (17 November).

Pamela, who has been generating Oscar buzz for her performance in Gia Coppola's upcoming drama The Last Showgirl, has been making headlines for nailing elegant winter-white looks, but this time she opted for a loose-fitting, minimalist black gown with long-sleeves.

Proving once again that less is more, she paired her dress with black mesh flats while embracing a natural look with barely-there make-up – the epitome of elegance once again.

Pamela's latest red-carpet appearance was in keeping with the pared-down graceful style she’s became known for in recent years – and to say her new look suits her is an understatement. We've particularly been loving the whites masterclass she was serving up over the summer.

The star recently admitted that her decision to go make-up free wasn't easy at first – and we can totally relate. Speaking on the Drew Barrymore Show, Pamela shared that it took time to get to a place where she felt 'free' without makeup on. 'I’ve had my little, you know, journey with it, but we all are our own worst critics,' she said.

'When people started coming up to me and talking about it, I thought, "Well, this is a great message", you know? To really peel it back and find out who I was again. I wanted to remember who I was.'
