Kim Kardashian criticised after daughter North West, 6, wears fake nose ring and bindi
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North West has been pictured wearing a nose ring and bindi in images taken at her great-grandmother birthday party.
The six year old posed with her aunts Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian and cousins Penelope Disick and True Thompson in a series of photos shared on Instagram by Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, 63.
In the black and white image, North is seen wearing stick-on bindi and a fake nose ring, plus hoop earrings.

It’s already public knowledge that North has her ears pierced: she was pictured wearing diamonds in her lobes at the age of one.
But the nose ring is a fake - a fact that Kim herself clarified in her Instagram Story, while sharing a photo with her daughter.

Not everyone was on board with the look.
“Look at North,” wrote one user in the comments section.
“Kims [sic] letting north grow up too fast dark makeup/lipstick now piercings smh [shaking my head],” read another.
“I’m crying cause north is wearing a bindi!,” commented another user.
A number of Twitter users were equally infuriated by North’s accessories, with some not realising the nose ring wasn’t real.
It’s 4:50 a.m. and I saw a picture of North West wearing a bindi and a fake nose ring.. since when do armenian people wear bindis? It’s bad enough that the kardashian-jenners rip off black culture, but putting that on your children ain’t it. Keep your children out of your mess.

Kim has been criticised in the past for allowing her daughter to make certain fashion and beauty choices.
Aged five, North wore black lipstick to a church service, prompting people to say she was too young to be wearing make-up.
There was also the controversy surrounding Kim straightening North’s naturally curly hair ahead of her fifth birthday.
Elsewhere, there is an ongoing debate about whether babies and young children should have their ears pierced. There was recently outrage over Hilary Duff’s decision to pierce her eighth-month-old baby daughter’s ears, with some condemning idea of of “causing unnecessary pain”.
Meanwhile, others believe it is a parent’s prerogative to make choices for their children.
