I opened every door to find out what's inside and to see if it's worth buying.

Here's my verdict on the No7 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar. (Yahoo Life UK)

If you haven't purchased your 2024 beauty advent calendar yet, you may want to do so swiftly, as options are selling out faster than ever before this year. John Lewis, Harrods, Space NK, and LookFantastic are just a few of the coveted options that sold out even before November.

Luckily, No7's 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar, is still in stock (just) and is a great value option to bag this year, especially if you're a fan of No7. Costing £60, but filled with a contents worth a whopping £236.65, it's much more affordable than many of the luxury designs we've seen this year from Harrods, Space NK and Liberty, which retail for over of £250.

If you're a No7 fan, this affordable beauty advent calendar is filled with a mix of popular products and new launches for your make-up and skincare routine.

Pros
  • Good range of No7 ranges
  • Includes a mix of full-size and minis
Cons
  • Most products are minis
  • Packaging is a bit flimsy

This No7 calendar offers a variety of products from its best-selling collections, such as its Future Renew and Protect and Perfect skincare products, along with a handful of items from its newest make-up launch, the No7 Pro Artist collection.

Promising a "daily dose of beauty" in the countdown to Christmas, I was keen to see how good the value of the calendar was and how it compared to other luxury calendars.

In total, the No7 Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar has 25 products inside, spanning eight different ranges, and 11 of which are full-size. I've opened every door and tested each product to see if it's worth the money.

I can't deny that, from the outset, it definitely seems like excellent value, especially given that there's a £176.65 saving to be had. And, it's rare in 2024 to find a decent calendar that's under £100.

I'm also already a big fan of No7 and have extensively reviewed several of the brand's ranges, with my favourite being the best-selling Future Renew skincare range, so I had high hopes for this advent calendar.

  • 3 night creams

  • 3 serums

  • 3 cleansers

  • 2 day creams

  • 1 £5 gift voucher for No7 ProDerm range

  • 1 lip oil

  • 1 lipstick

  • 1 lip liner

⭐ My No7 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar highlights ⭐

No7 Pro Artist Lip Shine Oil | retails for £14.95 for 6.1ml

This lip oil is perfect for parched lips in need of hydration. (Yahoo Life UK)
This lip oil is perfect for parched lips in need of hydration. (Yahoo Life UK)

There's a full-size bottle of lip oil inside the calendar, which normally costs £14.95. It's part of No7's new 12-piece Pro Artist make-up collection that offers luxurious, high-quality make-up products at affordable prices.

I love a lip oil and always keep one in my handbag, on my desk and on my bathroom shelf. They're a great way to add moisture, hydration and plumpness to dry lips with a glossy finish. This one in particular has a smooth texture that isn't sticky, greasy or heavily scented with a high-shine finish. You can layer it over a lip liner and lipstick, but my favourite way is to wear it on its own.

No7 Pro Artist Luxe Liquid Blush | retails for £14.95 for 6.1ml

Another new launch from the No7 Pro Artist collection is this gorgeous liquid blush, which comes in the shade 'Coral Blush,' an orangey-pink hue. It has a similar design to the lip oil, featuring a metallic gold lid and a practical doe-foot applicator, and it blends like a dream.

Don't be put off by how pigmented it looks, with a fluffy brush it blends into a beautiful soft wash of colour that instantly brightens my cheeks and will suit all skin tones.

No7 Future Renew SPF40 Day Cream | retails for £34.95 for 50ml

(Yahoo Life UK)
This rich moisturiser is great for dehydrated skin. (Yahoo Life UK)

In case you didn't know, No7's Future Renew skincare range, which launched last year, is the fastest-selling collection in the brand's history, with one item selling every two seconds on the day it launched. In fact, at one point it was one of best-selling skincare products across the entirety of Boots.

There's a 25ml tube of the Future Renew Day Cream in the advent calendar, and while I would have loved to find a full-size version, it’s a great way to try it before committing to the larger £34.95 size.

If you love a rich, creamy daily moisturiser, you'll love this. Plus, as an added bonus it has SPF 40, and features a formula rich in antioxidants and active ingredients, including Vitamin C and rice proteins, which help to brighten and hydrate the skin. I can't deny this is a lovely cream, especially if your skin is feeling lackluster.

This is a No7 exclusive that you can't purchase otherwise and is only featured in the calendar, which is a shame because it's brilliant at removing make-up. I like to massage a cleansing balm or oil into my skin before wiping it away with this microfiber pad, as it's a much speedier and more efficient way of cleansing than wipes (which are also terrible for the environment).

It's perfect for travel too, as it doesn't stay damp for long and can be popped in the washing machine when it needs cleaning and it comes out looking brand new.

No7 Lift and Luminate Primer | retails for £17.95 for 30ml

(Yahoo Life UK)
If you're looking for more radiance in your make-up routine, try this primer. (Yahoo Life UK)

There's a full-size tube of this glowy primer to unwrap and it's a real winner. It's a product that's completely new to me but has become an everyday part of my make-up routine.

As part of the Lift and Luminate range, it is focused on adding radiance and brightening your complexion under make-up. I love the gel texture that's fast absorbing to leave skin feeling silky soft and the way it adds a subtle glow under my foundation.

🪫 My 3 No7 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar lowlights 🪫

While I enjoy the variety of product ranges found within this advent calendar, I would have loved to have seen larger sizes of its skincare products, especially from popular lines like Future Renew.

Future Renew Serum | retails for £34.95 for 25ml

There's only a 5ml tube of the Future Renew Serum, which while it smooths texture and hydrates skin like nothing else, it's so tiny, you won't get many uses from it. I would have loved to see a full-size tube included as the showstopper for Christmas Day but alas, I had to make do with a miniature.

No7 Toning Water | retails for £9.95 for 100ml

This toning water is designed to be an extra step after cleansing to reduce the appearance of pores and leave skin clear. I found it made little difference to my skin, and would prefer to have seen a serum or moisturiser in its place instead.

No7 Pro Artist Matte Muse Nude Chic | retails for £14.95 for 3.3g

While I would normally welcome a lipstick in an advent calendar, the only downside to this is the colour. It's a nude, velvety matte lipstick that just doesn't flatter my skin tone. Instead, I would have loved to have seen a more universal shade, such a bright, Christmassy red, that would suit all skin tones.

If you are a No7 fan, chances are you’ve already used or heard of many of the products inside this calendar. There's a nice mix of No7's collections, and I love that they have included a variety of brand-new products from the Pro Artist range, which you can try for a fraction of the usual cost.

For £60, you get a great selection of items to refresh both your skincare and makeup routines, so all in all, I think it's worth a spot in your basket.

No7 may have missed a trick by not including more full-size products, and the cardboard packaging does feel a little flimsy. However, for the £60 price tag, I can overlook that.

If you're after more full-sized products you may be interested to know that No7 actually launched two advent calendars this year. While the No7 25 Day Beauty Secrets Advent Calendar that I tested is the most affordable option.

Worth £514.39, this is a showstopper, featuring 25 full-size No7 products and a complete skincare and make-up kit.

It's already a hit with shoppers too, one wrote in their five-star review: "Great value for money annual gift. Always goes down well with the wife as a great way to lead up to Christmas."

£175 at Boots

The second calendar is the pricier Ultimate 25 Day Beauty Advent Calendar that will set you back £175, but is filled with an impressive £513.39 worth of products (24 of which are full-size products). So, that calendar may suit you better if you are interested in really restocking your No7 skincare, which will last you well into 2025.
