Meghan Markle will attend Pippa Middleton's wedding - sort of
It turns out Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Meghan Markle, will attend Pippa Middleton’s wedding. Sort of.
The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister is getting married on May 20 to multi-millionaire hedge fund manager James Matthews – the brother of ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Spencer.
We know almost all the details of the couple’s intimate wedding including the very important roles of Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
But it was unclear whether Prince Harry would be allowed to bring his girlfriend of almost a year, actress Meghan Markle, to the ceremony.
Just like many royal weddings, Pippa has a strict ‘no ring, no bring’ policy meaning only married couples (or single individuals) can attend. Apparently, this rule only stretches to the actual wedding ceremony and not the evening reception.
Invites to the reception – which will be held in the grounds of the Middleton family’s grand Georgian mansion – have reportedly been extended to Meghan.
However, Prince Harry will be turning up to Pippa’s ceremony alone as the actress will not be allowed to attend.
This won’t be the first wedding Harry and Meghan have attended together. The royal couple recently hit Jamaica for the nuptials of Harry’s close friend Tom Inskip.
Things are looking serious for the couple. Meghan is set to leave her role on US drama Suits and move to the UK to live in a brand new apartment in Kensington Palace.
