Meghan Markle has reportedly met the Queen, say sources

When a royal introduces their partner to the queen, you know the relationship’s serious.
And that’s exactly what Prince Harry reportedly did last Thursday. Despite other reports stating Meghan Markle had already met the monarch, royal sources told the Daily Mail that the actress met the Queen for the first time last week.
According to sources, a blacked-out car arrived at the Queen’s private entrance at Buckingham Palace. Harry and Meghan then left the car to join the royal in her private sitting room overlooking the palace gardens.
There, they spent around half an hour eating sandwiches and scones and drinking the Queen’s favourite tea: a mixture of Darjeeling and Assam known as the Queen Mary’s blend.
Teatime (around 5pm) is apparently the Queen‘s favourite time of day and is usually spent with one or two family members. Prince Philip was reportedly not at this particular meeting.

Insiders say that Harry asked the Queen to meet Meghan while staying at Balmoral in the summer. It comes after Prince Charles reportedly said he was “very impressed” with the ‘Suits’ star on meeting her earlier this year.
Meghan went where no royal girlfriend (or boyfriend) had gone before, opening up about her relationship with Prince Harry in a Vanity Fair interview.
“We’re a couple,” she told the magazine. “We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us.”
Now, the engagement rumours have fuelled once again with friends apparently saying: “It is not a question of if, but when.”
