MAFS UK's Ross McCarthy comforted by fans as he announces devastating news
Married At First Sight star Ross McCarthy has been supported by friends and fans after sharing some heartbreaking news. The TV personality revealed that his beloved nana - who appeared on the programme - would shortly die after a "roller coaster few months". He said: "There be no more pains your gonna go nice and peacefully. I’m going to miss you so much but I know you had a nice life."
In a heartbreaking Facebook post today, Ross shared a series of snaps of his grandmother as he opened up on their close relationship. Saying he was going to miss being able to talk to his nana for hours and hearing all of her conversations, fans flocked to the comments to comfort the 32 year old.
“My nana, my queen, my world,” he began. “Well what can I say, the past few months have been a roller coaster. Her time is now coming to the end she’s 91 she’s nothing but a WARRIOR and an absolute FIGHTER.

"Your going back to your husband (granddad) your both gonna be back where your both belong your not gonna be on your own your going back to your family we all know they will look after you up there.
“There be no more pains your gonna go nice and peacefully. I’m going to miss you so much but I know you had a nice life gonna miss you telling me all your past life stories your conversations can be for hours. I love you nana.”

In response, Married At First Sight viewers shared supportive messages for Ross and his loved ones. With his nana making brief appearances on the show, some reflected on her time on their TV screens.
“Absolutely loved your nana on MAFS. She’s a total queen and reminded me of everything that is lovely about Mancunian folk. Made me yearn for Manchester and remember my fantastic nan xx,” one person commented. “So sorry Ross, you could tell you were her world on MAFS, sending love to all of your family. Xxx,” another added.
“So beautiful Ross, wonderful tribute to a lovely lady you were privileged to have in your life, it’s obvious to everyone how much you loved her and she loved you. Sending love and hugs xxx,” said a third. Meanwhile a fourth wrote: “Aww she looks like an amazing woman! Hold onto all your beautiful memories together.”
It comes after Ross’ MAFS bride Sacha Jones defended her decision on the show to not move to Manchester to be with him. Taking to Instagram to share her side of the story, Sacha said: “A lot had happened between me and Ross at this point to get me to the point of considering not moving Manny.”
The reality star went on to imply that more has unfolded between the couple than viewers may realise. She continued: “It didn’t feel safe and secure enough due to certain incidents.”
