MAFS UK's Alex and Holly 'back together' after explosive split
Married At First Sight UK bride and groom Holly and Alex had an explosive time on the dating series this year, with both voting to leave the experiment before it came to final vows. However, a video posted by the ex-couple during a trip to the Yorkshire Dales has left fans wondering whether they may have got back together since filming on the show finished.
Alex posted a video that he captioned with the words: “#MAFSUK day out with my ex wife,” tagging Holly in the post. In the clip, Holly explained while Alex was driving that the pair were having a day out together. She said: “Right guys, I am out with my ex-husband today,” and went on to explain that “we are going to show you what exactly we are like when we’re together.”
Later clips had Holly complaining that Alex has “the worst timing ever” that had made them late, which he jokingly referred to as “black man timing, a common occurrence in the community,” while she explained they were late because he had spent ages sitting around and not getting ready. “I’m the type of guy that if I have to be somewhere at half twelve, I think I can start getting ready at 12.25, get there for 12.30 even if it is a half an hour drive away!” he said.

They both displayed their differing music tastes in the car, before Holly asked her ex: “What’s the one thing on our wedding day that you thought, ‘yes, she’s the one’?” He replied: “The way you clicked with my family,” to which Holly responded: “I’m the girl you take home to Sunday dinner.” Alex added that everyone in his family took to her straight away, even his sister and aunties, who he described as “tough women” to please.
The former husband and wife seemed to really be getting on in the car, with Alex then asking Polly about the one thing she had learned about relationships while being in the MAFS experiment, “being married, being divorced and everything in between, like friends.”
“I have learned that a marriage is a title, I have also learned that to hold a marriage together takes a lot of hard work, you’ve got to learn to listen to a person, you have to take the other person’s feelings into account, and MAFS is pressure so I felt more vulnerable in situations, whereas out here you are so much more understanding and patient with me than when we were in the experiment.”
Alex described Polly as “goofy” and they both seemed to be having a great laugh together, leading their followers to ask whether they were back together as a couple. “Nice to see you two having fun my best husband and wife MAFSUK. I knew you guys had it in you to get along so well,” wrote one, while another added: “It’s obvious that there’s still some romantic spark between these two.”
