MAFS star Polly Sellman poses in underwear in new snap as she slams body shaming in powerful post
Married At First Sight UK star Polly Sellman has hit back at trolls who body shamed her as she showed off her stunning figure in a jaw-dropping mirror selfie. Since leaving the show, the reality TV star has undergone a weight loss journey, dropping two stone in a matter of months. Ever since, Polly, from Kent, has wowed her Instagram followers with a series of photos flaunting her slimmer figure.
On Wednesday, October 30, she took to Instagram to share a racy snap wearing only lingerie, alongside a caption where she hit out at trolls who had body shamed her. Polly said: "I've had a lot of positive comments about my weight loss (and many other positives) since the show has aired. But my god am I absolutely horrified off the back of last night's episode. I had absolutely nothing from the general public saying that I'm insecure with myself for weeks, and lo and behold, here you are making me all insecure of what I looked like. Body shaming and making someone feel insecure (no matter how they look now) who is already going through stress is one of the worst things you can do. When you body shame someone ONLINE and PUBLICLY others are listening. A friend with an eating disorder, someone struggling to lose baby weight, younger family members who have unrealistic body issues."
She went on: "Body shaming a person in the name of advising them to be a certain way or to make fun of someone's size, is a form of sarcasm, and mentally hurtful. I lost my weight for my own reasons and none of you know why. Body shaming leads to horrendous extremes in which I hope never happens to me because of this but I can assure you it definitely hasn't helped with how I feel about myself even after losing so much weight. Being skinny is ok. Not being skinny is ok. Having curves are ok. Not having curves is ok. Bashing someone for their body is NOT OK. It is absolutely one of the most disgusting things you can do to another person. And doing it online is even worse. You should all be so ashamed of yourselves.

"The next time someone body shames anyone, just remember you're an AWFUL human being. So congratulations on making a young girl who's been vulnerable and herself on tv, feel like shit all over again, so well done. Also PLEASE stop asking me how I lost the weight, this is another question I find really personal and I'm genuinely sick of saying the same thing. Set is @annsummers - thanks hubby [blue heart emoji]."
The career advisor turned reality TV sensation opened up to her Instagram fans about her slimming success, attributing it to a three-step method. She shared: "Proud post. This has been an ongoing journey since the end of March, and since then I've lost around 2 stone (with some help).
She also revealed she's not finished with her transformation, saying: "I still have a little way to go to get to my goal weight then when I'm there it's going to be building strength and maintaining the weight I've lost without living a restricted lifestyle and keep a healthy relationship with food and drink."
Discussing her new-found body confidence, Polly admitted: "I've always been confident however not so much with my body, now have a lot more self confidence and feel so much more comfortable in certain clothing whereas I didn't before.
"I dressed well for my shape and size but never felt hugely comfortable just the fact I knew how to dress to hide certain insecurities. However that's now changed and I don't think as much about covering certain things when I'm ordering clothes and it feels so good."
